“Anyone that has ever said they don’t make good Rock bands anymore needs to download their latest EP… If ever there was a new band that was a perfect fit to tour with the greats such as Airbourne, Rose Tattoo, Baby Animals, The Angels, The Screaming Jets, The Living End, well let’s face it - even AC/DC, then its Avalanche.”
- Francis Populin, Bumping Into Podcast

- Douglas Gorman, Monster Children
“If felt like I was watching a cross between Airborne and AC/DC. The energy was insane... Veronica played her blistering guitar solos from the front of the barriers and rocked out with the fans in the middle of the mosh pit. Avalanche always give 110% at their shows and it’s not something you want to miss!”
- Amelia and Liz Thompson, Twinmusix
“This is nothing but fun. That’s it. This is the band that went to school with the patches on their denim jackets, just like we did, but unlike us had the skill – and the will – to emulate their heroes. Avalanche is four people playing the music they love. And doing it superbly.”
- Andy Thorley, Maximum Volume Music

EXTENDED BAND BIO
Avalanche are a 4 piece hard rock band from Western Sydney, playing short, fast & loud, no-bull Aussie rock 'n roll for a new generation and attracting massive attention on a global scale.
Tinged by the influence of their dad’s record collection and the dirty pub rock of Australia’s past, the band formed in an old steel factory in 2018 where they used to rehearse. They’ve since made a name for themselves in the sticky floors of the national underground scene as part of the vanguard of new Australian rock, with their tenacious work ethic, non-stop touring schedule, and a signature sound & live show which routinely leaves the audience covered in blood, sweat and beers.
They’ve since supported the likes of Buckcherry, Fozzy, The Iron Maidens, Kingswood, Dead City Ruins & The Poor. And they've set their sights overseas, having headlined their first international tour and rock festival; ROCKTOBER FEST in Nouméa, New Caledonia in October 2022 to some of their most riotous crowds yet. They maintain a hectic touring schedule, bringing their raucous live show to packed audiences around Australia and overseas with rave reviews, sold-out shows - at venues such as The Factory Theatre, Paddo RSL, Crowbar, Vanguard, The Cmabridge, Cherry Bar, Tomcat, UOW Unibar, La Bodega Nouméa - and festival slots including Rocktober Fest, Thrashville, Moondoll Festival, Aussie Made, Home Brewed, and more.
Known for their high production music videos, the band has worked with HAUS Party [The Amity Affliction, Peking Duk, Guy Sebastion, North Lane] on their first music video, and 5 videos later, they've amassed over 300k views on YouTube & Facebook, with tens of thousands of streams on streaming services & few thousand CD's sold worldwide. Recently, one of Australia's most loved TV programs Blokesworld has been blasting Avalanche's music on TV across Australia on Channel 7 and 7Mate, with their music videos also featuring on 1700 & The Hard Rock Show on Channel C31 Melbourne and 44 Adelaide.
Over the years, the band became mainstays at Sydney’s most loved (and sadly, now closed) heavy music venue; Frankie’s Pizza By The Slice, and played the infamous, never to be forgotten birthday bash on the venue’s 8th birthday. This year, after another successful headline tour of Australia, they jumped straight into supporting blues rock legends Child, then the mighty all-female US tribute band The Iron Maidens, before joining Aussie rock royalty The Poor on their album tour. Then, they will be undertaking a month long residency at Sydney's best alternative pub, The Duke Of Enmore and hitting MoonDoll festival in June with more shows and festival slots TBA.
Their latest single ‘Sweet Baby Brown Eyes’ hit the #4 most played song on the AMRAP Community Radio Metro Charts in its second week of release and was added on rotation to commercial radio Rebel FM, BRock, Power 100, Hill FM in AUS and to ERB & Hard Rock Hell in the UK. The track is a cover of the hit song by 1970s cult Aussie pub rock legends Avalanche, the band’s namesake of which their very own frontman Steven Campbell’s dad, Adrian Campbell fronted. It was recorded at A Sharp Recording Studio with Grammy nominated and ARIA Award winning producer Steve James, who’s credits include Sex Pistols, Airbourne, Cold Chisel, The Angels, Hawkwind, The Screaming Jets and even ‘Always Look On The Bright Side of Life’ from Monty Python’s Life Of Brian.
Their last single ‘Bottle Of Sin’, described as the perfect party anthem for your next night of bad decisions, was also recorded with Steve James and released to widespread acclaim upon its release, hitting over 40k streams on Spotify within a few weeks and now pushing 70k. The track was played on rotation on hundreds of commercial and community radio stations across the globe including Triple M Hard N Heavy, Rebel FM, PBS, i98FM and on TV on The Hard Rock Show on Channel C31 & 44 in AUS, as well as Kerrang! Radio, Hard Rock Hell, Planet Rock and Total Rock Radio in the UK.
Their music video for ‘Second Hand Band’, the title track of their sophomore EP, was premiered in Rolling Stone Magazine who dubbed them "one band you need to watch". The EP was also featured and reviewed with interviews in publications and radio shows worldwide such as Tone Deaf, Music Feeds, Monster Children, The Music, Fireworks Magazine, The Sydney Morning Herald, ABC Radio, i98FM, Heavy Mag and more, and on TV on 1700 - Channel C31 in Melbourne and Channel 44 in Adelaide.
No less than 3 tracks off ‘Second Hand Band’ ('Second Hand Band', ‘Permanent Ink’ & ‘Spit In My Mouth’) have debuted on the Top 10 in the independent Australian Charts. With ‘Get Back (To Fuckwit City)’ also debuting in the Top 3 on the Triple J Unearthed Rock Charts, and #6 on the overall Triple J charts, as well as landing the band the front cover of Heavy Mag’s Aus Artists Digi-Mag's 5th Issue and a spot hosting the Metal Express Radio Guest DJ hour, who’s previous hosts included Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Y&T, Exodus and more.
Avalanche is made up of the husband-and-wife duo of lead vocalist & bassist Steven Campbell; a red haired, otherworldly, sheer force of nature unlike any other who always puts his blood and his guts into every show, and wife Veronica ‘V’ Campbell; a tall, dark and aggressively powerful lead guitarist; a mass of shaggy black hair in a bra and ripped jeans, with a Gibson SG constantly by her side. She is bound by neither space nor convention, often playing her blistering guitar solos in the crowd, on the bar, and sometimes even out the doors and in the toilets.
Then, we have the incredibly skilled and tightest drummer you'll ever hear, and youngest member of the band; Ryan Roma aka ‘ADHD’ on drums, and rhythm machine and absolute life of the party (seriously, be prepared) Arthur Divis aka 'the new guy' (not really) on rhythm guitar.
Avalanche are waving the flag for Aussie Rock, giving no fucks and winning over new fans every time they play.
