BAND BIO
Avalanche are a 4 piece hard rock band from Western Sydney, Australia playing short, fast & loud, no-bull Aussie rock 'n roll for a new generation and attracting massive attention on a global scale. Rolling Stone has called them "one band you need to watch..." with Classic Rock describing them as "Straight-forward, no-frills rock’n’roll!”
Forming in a steel factory in 2018, Avalanche have since crashed through the Australian pub scene, playing alongside bands such as Buckcherry, Fozzy, The Iron Maidens, Rose Tattoo, Ronnie Simmons, Palace Of The King, Kingswood, The Southern River Band, Sisters Doll, The Poor... and sharing festival stages with Ian Moss, Freznal Rhomb, Dragon, The Superjesus, Ross Wilson & more.
With their raucous, high-energy live shows and frenzied touring schedule, they’ve come to be known as the hardest working hard rock band in Oz. They won Australia’s largest live original band comp Passport To Airlie ‘23 and scored a headlining slot at Airlie Beach Festival of Music ‘24 alongside The Sweet, Jebediah, Thirsty Merc & Pseudo Echo. They’ve since joined the country's foremost booking agency, Premier Artists, part of the Mushroom Group, and signed a management deal with Big Apachee... and made their mark overseas, headlining international tours and festivals in Japan and New Caledonia, with more in the works.
Recording with Grammy nominated & ARIA Award winning producer Steve James whose credits include Airbourne, Cold Chisel, The Angels & The Screaming Jets… Avalanche have appeared on major editorial & algorithmic playlists, on TV across Australia; including Channel 7 & 7Mate, in major publications such as Rolling Stone, Classic Rock, Rock Hard, Tone Deaf, Music Feeds, Fireworks Magazine and they’ve enjoyed airplay worldwide on Triple M, Rebel FM, ABC Radio, Kerrang!, Hard Rock Hell, Planet Rock, Total Rock, Rock Antenne, Star FM Germany, also reaching #4 on the Australian Community Radio Chats with their first full length album in the works.
Made up of husband and wife duo; described as ‘giving audiences a peek into their bedroom’ as part of their on stage antics; Avalanche is lead vocalist and bassist and sheer force of nature; Steven Campbell and the tall, dark & aggressively powerful lead guitarist, Veronica ‘V’ Campbell, always playing her blistering solos out in the crowd or on the bar. Along with the monster that is the two-headed rhythm beast of Ryan Roma aka ‘ADHD’ on drums, and life of the party Arthur Divis on rhythm guitar.
Tinged by the influence of their dad’s record collection and the dirty pub rock of Australia’s past, but played through the interpretation of their own generation, Avalanche are waving the flag for Aussie Rock, routinely leaving their audiences covered in blood, sweat and beers and winning new fans every time they play.
