AS FEATURED IN/ON
“Avalanche have been making a name for themselves as purveyors of blistering Aussie hard-rock in much the same vein as those who came before them, with clear influences being taken from the likes of AC/DC, Rose Tattoo, and The Angels… they’re one band you need to watch”.
- Rolling Stone Australia
"Renowned for their high-octane brand of raw and in-your face rock music, Avalanche have established themselves as one of NSW’s premier hard rock acts... & will guide your memory straight to a time when classic rock changed music forever."
- Kris Peters, Heavy Mag
"They're an absolute cracking band... they blew us away, they're one of the best live bands kicking around and they just get better and better, bright future ahead for these guys"
- Tim White, The Hard Rock Show
“Anyone that has ever said they don’t make good Rock bands anymore needs to download their latest EP… If ever there was a new band that was a perfect fit to tour with the greats such as Airbourne, Rose Tattoo, Baby Animals, The Angels, The Screaming Jets, The Living End, well let’s face it - even AC/DC, then its Avalanche.”
- Francis Populin, Bumping Into Podcast
EXTENDED BAND BIO
Avalanche are a 4 piece hard rock band from Western Sydney, Australia playing short, fast & loud, no-bull Aussie rock 'n roll for a new generation and attracting massive attention on a global scale.
The band formed in an old steel factory in 2018 where they used to rehearse. They’ve since made a name for themselves as part of the vanguard of new Australian rock, with their tenacious work ethic, frenzied touring schedule and a raucous, high-energy live shows and, which routinely leaved their audiences covered in blood, sweat and beers.
They’ve supported major US bands Buckcherry, Fozzy, The Iron Maidens at sold out shows, as well as Australian legends, Palace Of The King, Kingswood, Dead City Ruins, The Southern River Band, Child & The Poor, and have dates with Rose Tattoo coming up in 2024. The band have set their sights overseas, having headlined their first international tour and rock festival; ROCKTOBER FEST in Nouméa, New Caledonia in October 2022 to some of their most riotous crowds yet and they'll be bringing their show to Japan in March 2024, with more overseas tours in the works...
Avalanche are the winners of Passport To Airlie 2023, Australia's largest live original band competition at Airlie Beach Festival of Music where they shared the stage with Ian Moss, Freznal Rhomb, Dragon, The Superjesus, Ross Wilson and more, and as a result, they will be returning in 2024 Nov 7-10 with a headlining slot.
After their 8th headline tour of Australia in 2023, and scoring many of the opportunities mentioned above, the band showed no signs of slowing down, going from major support slot to festival slots and even undertaking a month long residency at Sydney's best alternative music pub The Duke Of Enmore, and playing at halftime at Pro Wrestling Australia's sold out show at Liberty Hall.
Avalanche continue to play to packed audiences with rave reviews and sold-out shows at some of Australia's most iconic venues including The Factory Theatre, Manning Bar, Corner Hotel, Paddo RSL, Crowbar, The Vanguard, The Cambridge, Cherry Bar, UOW Unibar and more, and festivals including Airlie Beach FOM, CherryFest, Thrashville with more TBA. Over the years, the band became mainstays at Sydney’s most loved heavy music venue; Frankie’s Pizza By The Slice, playing their infamous birthday bash on the venue’s 8th birthday and recording the music video for 'Bottle Of Sin' there just before the venue was demolished for a train station.
Known for their high production music videos, the band has worked with HAUS Party [The Amity Affliction, Peking Duk, Guy Sebastion, North Lane] on their first music video, and 5 videos later, they've amassed a couple hundred thousand views on YouTube & social media, similar figures on Spotify, and a few thousand CD's sold worldwide. Recently, one of Australia's most loved TV programs Blokesworld has been blasting Avalanche's music on TV across Australia on Channel 7 and 7Mate, with their music videos added to rotation on 1700 & The Hard Rock Show on Channel C31 Melbourne and 44 Adelaide.
Their latest single ‘Sweet Baby Brown Eyes’ hit the #4 most played song on the AMRAP Community Radio Metro Charts in its second week of release. The track is a cover of the hit song by 1970s cult Aussie pub rock legends Avalanche, the band’s namesake of which their very own frontman Steven Campbell’s dad, Adrian Campbell fronted. Their last single ‘Bottle Of Sin’, described as the perfect party anthem for your next night of bad decisions was also released to widespread acclaim, hitting over 40k streams on Spotify within a few weeks with now over 70k. Both tracks have received between 1500-2000 radio plays worldwide and even added on rotation to numerous commercial radio stations worldwide including Rebel FM, Triple M Hard N Heavy, BRock, Power 100, Hill FM, i98FM in AUS and Kerrang!, Hard Rock Hell, Planet Rock, Total Rock and more in the UK and Europe.

Their music video for ‘Second Hand Band’, the title track of their sophomore EP, was premiered in Rolling Stone Magazine who dubbed them "one band you need to watch". The EP was also featured and reviewed with interviews in radio and publications worldwide such as Tone Deaf, Music Feeds, Monster Children, The Music, Fireworks Magazine, The Sydney Morning Herald, ABC Radio, Heavy Mag and more, spearheaded by their fantastic PR team On The Map PR [Grinspoon, Amy Shark, Spiderbait, Boom Crash Opera].
No less than 3 tracks off ‘Second Hand Band’ ('Second Hand Band', ‘Permanent Ink’ & ‘Spit In My Mouth’) have debuted on the Top 10 in the independent Australian Charts. With ‘Get Back (To Fuckwit City)’ also debuting in the Top 3 on the Triple J Unearthed Rock Charts, and #6 on the overall Triple J charts, as well as landing the band the front cover of Heavy Mag’s Aus Artists Digi-Mag's 5th Issue and a spot hosting the Metal Express Radio Guest DJ hour, who’s previous hosts included Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Y&T, Exodus and more.
Avalanche is made up of the husband-and-wife duo of lead vocalist & bassist Steven Campbell; a red haired, sheer force of nature with powerful paint stripping vocals unlike any other who always puts his blood and his guts into every show, and wife Veronica ‘V’ Campbell; a tall, dark and aggressively powerful lead guitarist; a mass of shaggy black hair in a bra and ripped jeans, with a Gibson SG constantly by her side. She is bound by neither space nor convention, often playing her blistering guitar solos in the crowd, on the bar, and sometimes even out the doors and in the toilets.
Then, we have the incredibly skilled and tightest drummer you'll ever hear, and youngest member of the band; Ryan Roma aka ‘ADHD’ on drums, and rhythm machine and absolute life of the party (seriously, be prepared) Arthur Divis aka 'the new guy' (not really) on rhythm guitar.
Avalanche are waving the flag for Aussie Rock, giving no f****s and winning over new fans every time they play.
