Avalanche are a 4 piece hard rock/pub rock band from Western Sydney, playing short, fast & loud, no-bullshit Aussie rock 'n roll for a new generation.
Forming in an old steel factory in 2018 where they used to rehearse, they’ve since supported the likes of Buckcherry, Fozzy, Kingswood & The Poor. They’ve played one of the headlining spots at Thrashville Festival in 2022 & continue to sell out shows across Australia. In October, they headlined their first international rock festival, ROCKTOBER FEST in Nouméa, New Caledonia. Their music videos have also amassed over 250k views on YouTube & Facebook, with tens of thousands of streams on streaming services & thousands of CD's sold worldwide.
Their latest single ‘Bottle Of Sin’ was released to widespread acclaim, hitting over 50k streams on Spotify within a few weeks. The track was played on rotation on Triple M Hard N Heavy, Rebel FM, PBS and on The Hard Rock Show on Channel C31 in AUS, as well as Kerrang! Radio, Hard Rock Hell, Planet Rock and Total Rock Radio in the UK. It was recorded at A Sharp Recording Studio with Grammy nominated and ARIA Award winning producer Steve James, who’s credits include Sex Pistols, Airbourne, The Screaming Jets, The Angels, Cold Chisel, Hawkwind, The Superjesus, and even ‘Always Look On The Bright Side of Life’ from Monty Python’s Life Of Brian!
Their last EP 'Second Hand Band' has been featured in Rolling Stone Magazine, Tone Deaf, Music Feeds, The Music, Fireworks Magazine, on Channel 1700, The Sydney Morning Herald, ABC Radio, i98FM & many other publications and radio all over the world.
In 2023, they’re hitting the ground running with a brand new single and Australia wide tour for ‘Sweet Baby Brown Eyes’, a cover of the hit song by 1970s cult Aussie pub rock legends Avalanche, the band’s namesake of which their very own Steven Campbell’s dad, Adrian Campbell fronted. It’s a blast from the past with Avalanche’s unique modern twist and their second track working with Steve James.
The band is made up of husband and wife duo; the sheer force of nature that is lead vocalist & bassist Steven Campbell, and the tall, dark & aggressively powerful lead guitarist, Veronica ‘V’ Campbell, who's often seen playing in the crowd, on the bar, and on table tops. Then the incredibly skilled Ryan Roma aka ‘ADHD’ on drums, and rhythm machine and life of the party Arthur Divis on rhythm guitar.
Tinged by the influence of their dad’s record collection and the dirty pub rock of Australia’s past, but played through the interpretation of their own generation, Avalanche are waving the flag for Aussie Rock. Continuing their bloody, sweaty on- stage rampage, giving no f**ks and winning new fans every time they play.
