NOW TOURING: 'SWEET BABY BROWN EYES' TOUR
BAND BIO
Avalanche are a 4 piece hard rock band from Western Sydney, playing short, fast & loud, no-bullshit Aussie rock 'n roll for a new generation and attracting massive attention on a global scale.
Forming in an old steel factory in 2018 where they used to rehearse, they’ve since supported the likes of Buckcherry, Fozzy, Kingswood & The Poor. They headlined their first international tour and rock festival, ROCKTOBER FEST in Nouméa, New Caledonia in 2022 as well as Thrashville Festival in NSW, with a slot at MoonDoll Festival coming up in June, and they continue to sell out shows across Australia. Their music videos have amassed over 275k views on YouTube & Facebook, with tens of thousands of streams on streaming services & thousands of CD's sold worldwide.
In mid-2022, their single ‘Bottle Of Sin’ was released to widespread acclaim, hitting over 40k streams on Spotify within a few weeks and now pushing 70k. The track was played on rotation on Triple M Hard N Heavy, Rebel FM, PBS and on TV on The Hard Rock Show on Channel C31 & 44 in AUS, as well as Kerrang! Radio, Hard Rock Hell, Planet Rock and Total Rock Radio in the UK. It was recorded at A Sharp Recording Studio with Grammy nominated and ARIA Award winning producer Steve James, who’s credits include Sex Pistols, Airbourne, Cold Chisel, The Angels, and even ‘Always Look On The Bright Side of Life’ from Monty Python’s Life Of Brian.
Their last EP 'Second Hand Band' has been featured in Rolling Stone Magazine, Tone Deaf, Music Feeds, The Music, Fireworks Magazine, on Channel 1700, The Sydney Morning Herald, ABC Radio, i98FM & many other publications and radio all over the world.
In 2023, they’ve hit the ground running with a brand new single and Australia wide tour for ‘Sweet Baby Brown Eyes’, which hit the #4 most played song on the AMRAP Community Radio Metro Charts in its second week of release, and on rotation on commercial radio such as Rebel FM, BRock, Power 100 and Hill FM. The track is a cover of the hit song by 1970s cult Aussie pub rock legends Avalanche, the band’s namesake of which their very own frontman Steven Campbell’s dad, Adrian Campbell fronted. It’s a blast from the past with Avalanche’s unique modern twist and their second track working with Steve James.
The band is made up of husband and wife duo; the sheer force of nature that is lead vocalist & bassist Steven Campbell, and the tall, dark & aggressively powerful lead guitarist, Veronica ‘V’ Campbell, who's often seen playing in the crowd, on the bar, and on table tops. Then the incredibly skilled Ryan Roma aka ‘ADHD’ on drums, and rhythm machine and life of the party Arthur Divis on rhythm guitar.
Tinged by the influence of their dad’s record collection and the dirty pub rock of Australia’s past, but played through the interpretation of their own generation, Avalanche are waving the flag for Aussie Rock. Continuing their bloody, sweaty on- stage rampage, giving no f**ks and winning new fans every time they play.
